Words on the Waves is thrilled to host a unique exhibition at the new Gosford Regional Library.
The Juvenilia Exhibition showcases a collection works from some of Australia’s most loved and established children’s authors and illustrators created when they were children.
Whether it is hand writing stories on scrap paper or drawing pictures in pencil and rubbing them out, today’s most prominent creators of children’s books all started as children too, dreaming about being able to publish their own story.
Curated by author Aimee Chan, this unique and intimate collection highlights their early attempts at storytelling, sure to inspire our young budding writers and illustrators.
Featured works include those of Graeme Base, Andy Griffiths, Hazel Edwards and Alison Lester,
The free exhibition will be available for public viewing during opening hours at the Gosford Regional Library from Wednesday 27th May to 20 July 2026.
