If one of your goals for 2026 is to read more, or to join a book club, our Central Coast Reads program might be just what you are looking for.
Central Coast Reads is a community-wide, year-round reading program of book clubs and author talks. Organisations, local libraries, book clubbers and individuals are all encouraged to read the one book to foster larger conversations and to engage with others. The program includes a bi-monthly book club meet up in small groups, followed by a larger event where the chosen author comes along to speak about the book.
Our Central Coast Reads coordinator, Mandi, says that the success of the program over the past few years has been “the wonderful people who attend! We have a great community of engaged readers who come along to the book clubs at either Woy Woy or Kincumber, and then also those who join just for the engaging author talks and morning teas. The program gives a range of ways for people to engage with authors and other book lovers.”
If you would like to receive updates about the book clubs and matching free author events, you can email Mandi – cooordinator@wordsonthewaves.com.au
