An annual festival with special events taking place throughout the year, Words on the Waves was founded in 2021 and is the Central Coast’s first and only writers’ festival. In 2024, it will celebrate its fourth year from May 29 – June 3 with its biggest festival yet. In addition to its existing roster of festival events, including author talks, workshops, nighttime conversations, a literary cruise and more, it is adding a new venue and program stream entitled ‘The Dip’, to be located in the parklands next to Umina Beach SLSC. In order to assist with the successful delivery of our 2024 program, we are now recruiting for a Marketing Coordinator role. This is a paid, contract position funded in part by Create NSW, in part by Words on the Waves (hours will vary).
The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Words on the Waves Writers Festival team to develop and deliver a powerful and authentic marketing strategy for the 2024 event, spanning digital and print collateral. This is an opportunity to contribute to the success of a thriving not-for-profit event fostering a vibrant arts and literary culture on the Central Coast.
