Announcement! The intriguing first guest for Words at Wagstaffe 2026, and limited Early Bird tickets!

Our annual literary celebration Words at Wagstaffe will take place on Saturday March 14, 2026.

Held in partnership with the clever and arty folk over at The Bouddi Society, Words at Wagstaffe is a much-loved day of deep-dive conversations with celebrated authors.

The venue is none other than the charming community hall in Wagstaffe, perched alongside the tranquil Brisbane Waters … people love it for its relaxed vibe.

The Day Pass entitles you to four (4) author talks followed by book signings. BOOKFACE will be onsite as festival bookseller.

FIRST AUTHOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Jack Beaumont is a former French spy who has used his real life experience to write bestselling thrillers: The Frenchman, Dark Arena and Liar’s Game.

Inspired by his time with France’s foreign intelligence service, the DGSE, he began writing to confront fear and PTSD — and the stories went on to become bestsellers. He’s also a former fighter pilot who spent two decades in the French military.

Safe to say, there are a lot of intriguing stories to tap into, and we can’t wait to hear more from Jack Beaumont at Words at Wagstaffe 2026.

“It’s a richly detailed cloak-and-dagger thriller reminiscent of the novels of John le Carre …” – Stephen Romei, The Australian.”
