Venues
Words on the Waves Writers Festival is primarily held at select venues in Umina Beach, a sun-drenched coastal village on the Central Coast, NSW on the lands of the Darkinjung people.
Day Pass / Weekend Pass Venues
The Words on the Waves Writers Festival Day Pass events (Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31) will take place at the Umina Beach Surf Life Saving Club (509 Ocean Beach Rd, Umina Beach), the Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Club (176 The Esplanade, Umina Beach) and the Festival Marquee at the Peninsula Recreation Precinct in Umina Beach (70 Sydney Avenue Umina Beach NSW).
There are large free car parks adjacent to both Ocean Beach SLSC and Umina Beach SLSC. With both boasting a panoramic beach view, these festival venues are hard to beat.
There will be a courtesy bus running between Ocean Beach SLSC and Umina Beach SLSC at the lunch break. Otherwise it is a seven minute stroll via a quiet back lane or even better, along the scenic beach!
