Day Pass
We are so thrilled to reveal the Day Program for Words on the Waves Writers Festival, taking place June 4 and 5 on the scenic Central Coast.
From Darwin to Harden, Queanbeyan to Far North Queensland, we have writers and thinkers joining us from all corners of the country. Together we will ponder why land matters; whether human brains can handle the truth (in an age of Fake News); the benefits of beautiful friendships; what it means to belong; why our politicians like to lie; and whether creative self-expression can lead to luminosity. We will consider death and mortality; representation in the creative arts; and why we love Aussie crime noir. We will hear fiery debate, brave histories and life-affirming stories.
You can now browse our Saturday June 4 program and Sunday June 5 program, and then purchase tickets for each day or the weekend.
Special Events
Our Special Events are now live! You can now browse An Evening Conversation event at Naughty Noodle Fun Haus, Literary Cruise, Late Night Literary event, Adult Writing Workshops, Book Launches and Family Fun Day. And, our Cinema Screening hosted by Margaret Pomeranz has just been announced!
Please sign up to our mailing list to be alerted to further news or keep an eye on our website.
Support our Festival
As a not-for-profit organisation run with a small team of volunteers, contributions of any size go a long way in enriching the creative culture of our community. The Committee includes local Peninsula residents passionate about bringing the arts to the Coast. We are seeking support from the community to help us create a wonderful and inclusive festival.
