Jill Stark

Jill Stark is a best-selling author, award-winning journalist, mental health advocate, speech writer and content creator. Her first book, High Sobriety, was a Walkley Book of the Year finalist. Her other books, Happy Never After and When You’re Not OK, document Jill’s hard-won lessons from a life-long journey with anxiety.

Elfy Scott

Elfy Scott

Elfy is an award-winning journalist, presenter, and author living and working on Gadigal land. She has written for The Saturday Paper, The Guardian, The Age, and VICE and makes frequent appearances on radio and TV. Her first book, The One Thing We’ve Never Spoken About, focuses on the experience of people living with complex mental health conditions in Australia and the ways that the mental healthcare system fails so many people. Elfy is passionate about climate action, explaining complex things in accessible ways, and napping.

Tammi Miller

Tammi Miller

Tammi Miller is a certified practising counsellor who helps her clients to cultivate better mental and emotional wellbeing through her practise, BARE Therapy. Passionate about improved health literacy and with lived experience in mental health as both a psychotherapist and a client, Tammi manages her own mental health using the same techniques shared in ‘Paperback Therapy’.

Annika Blau

Moderator: Annika Blau

Annika Blau is a Walkley-award winning reporter and digital lead for the ABC’s flagship program, Background Briefing. Her original investigations into access to healthcare have been recognised with international Society for News Design awards and a Clarion Award for Health Reporting. In 2020, Annika conducted a major, data-based investigation that exposed inequity of access to Australia’s mental health care system. In recent years, she’s exposed barriers to care in public faith-based hospitals.
